What indicators “ renewed minds and transformed hearts”!  We greatly rejoice in our work of engaging and building God fearing leaders  who can make a difference in their sphere of influence. Their actions and testimonies during our one month of working  revealed that God is doing great things in them and through them. We experienced  spiritual  and numerical growth. Ten (10) senators and nine (9) parliamentarians effectively took part. Before we give you detail testimonies, below are some key outstanding programs executed during the June-July  2014 session.

PRAYER FORUM FOR LEADERS

 

  As Moses lifted up his hands to God in prayer for the nation of Israel when  faced with war, so too, senators personally mobilized themselves and prayed for the nation .The theme of the prayer forum was  “When Leaders Pray”. The parliamentarians’ did not attend this particular event as planed  because  they were busy. They were happy that their friends and brothers in the Lord were able to lift up their hands and voices to God in prayer

LIFE TRANSFORMING BIBLE STUDY

Both senators’ and parliamentarians’ were richly blessed  with the word of God they studied during their twice- weekly Bible and prayer meetings: Their participation in these meetings demonstrated their  personal desire  to grow in their walk with God. The fruits are encouragement  to the entire team. God is really shaping them to become His instrument for the transformation of the nation

 

COLLABORATION WITH MINPROFF

After the distribution of 120 DVDS of Magdalena to staffs of MINPROFF for 2014, we had a first collaboration  meeting with some staffs of the Ministry. We  are expanding to the  higher authorities as we enter an  agreement for empowering the senior staffs in their efforts to eliminate  and prevent gender base violence done on the Woman and the girl child.

 

VICTORY STORIES

Three MP’s went on mission trip with a boss .One happened to be a member of our discipleship group. This  member got into a conversational talk  with the boss and the boss asked  the following question   “Are you a freemason”?  The Mp responded “No  I am a Christian and a servant of God. The boss answered, “ Ah you can still be a Christian and be a freemason.”  The MP outstanding respond was “God cannot be mocked you can’t serve two masters”.

At the end of the conversation to cut it short, the colleague who came in and joined in the conversation made a commitment to follow Christ Jesus while the  boss asked for prayer so that one day  he too will become a  true Christian.

A Ministry partner got it first!

Immediately after wrapping off from our bible study time, on my way, I came across one of our supporters best defined as Ministry partner. After Inquiring on how activities have been unveiling during this June session, he said he was not surprise  for this is what he( ministry partner) witness  “While in the lift I overheard a conversation from 2 senators and one of the senators talked on the importance of the word of God. He referred to it as his “strength for leadership  success” and so he is invited him to be a part of thier weekly bible study.”

REACHING PEERS

some of our MPs have been engaged in evangelism connecting their peers to Christ. One of them on his personal account  bought Bibles which he has been distributing to his Peers and even  including the Personnel of their lodge as a strategy for following up of those who responded to follow Christ through their effort and our “project Gift to the nation”

He said “ I  am so amazed  that what God showed me in a dream came to pass”. He testified among the  discipleship group members “ In my dream I saw one of my colleague making an effort to change his faith to become a Muslim even with his family members. Waking up the following  early morning when I was going to the National Assembly, I meet with him and asked him and he accepted that it was true. When  I finished sharing with him, he made up his mind to become a true follower of Christ together with his family members. He  visit ed me with his family just to thank God who sent me to him. I am planning to continue to Work with him and his family members.
